| Material: All our rugs are woven traditionally in Sweden with Swedish material. The foil that we use is a new plastic totally free from Phthalates and harsh substances whatsoever. The manufacturer is Gislaved Folie AB certifed with ISO 9001 and 14001. The The material is also approved for use in the food industry and to produce toys. It is manufactured with a lower use of energy and casue lower emissions of carbon dioxide when compared to most other plastics such as for example PET and PP. And although the material is recyclable we now use only new material to ensure that no old material is mixed with our new toxic free material. A rug from Brita Sweden är very durable and if you follow our care instructions it will be yours for a long time. |
Care: Shake or vacuum your rug. When shaking, hold the sides of the rug instead of the welded ending, since if you have bad luck and you are very strong, the welding might tear. If you vented your rug out in cold weather the material stiffens and you should avoid to shake a stiff rug. Take it inside for a moment at shake it when it is soft again to avoid damages on the material. To remove stain use a wet sponge or cloth with mild detergent and whipe the stain immediately. Wet the stain carefully but make sure the rug is dry aswell on top as under it afterwords to avoid to damage the floor. Stains from strong coloring as ketchup or red whine should be removed asap. If you have your rug where it is exposed to alot of dirt, for example in the hallway or on the terrass, it is recommende to clean it more often. If your washing machine fit the size of your rug you can wash it in 30°C/86 F with no spin cycle. Use a mild detergent. When washed, take it out and stretch the sides avoiding the welding, and hang dry. Shrinking will be about 3-4 % after washing. If you are storing your rug for some time, make sure it is completely dry and roll it. Store it without a bag in a dry place. Do not use tape directly on the surface of the rug. |
